Introduction to Davis® Reading Exercises

The Davis Reading Exercises provide a complementary alternative to phonics and phonetic decoding.

Building on the solid foundation of having mastered the name of every letter of the alphabet (as they are pronounced in the alphabet song), the child now starts recognising letter groups as words. Then we move on to recognising how words form a sentence, and the final reading exercise demonstrates how punctuation provides the overall meaning to the sentence.
