2 Learn to Read is a pilot project, currently only available in English to families living in the UK, Africa, Ireland, India, and Eastern Europe.

A free trial will be available until we have gathered sufficient evidence that this online course provides similar amazing results as the physical Davis Young Learner’s Home kit.

We wanted to make the award winning Davis® approach available online to parents who are busy teaching their young child to read at home.

Pay it forward

We are confident that this online course will prove as successful as other solutions based on the Davis method, and once we have sufficient proof, we will continue to offer this as a charitable initiative: we will offer every paying family a voucher so they can give free access to a family who cannot afford the course.

Online peer-support

The two families then are encouraged to stay in touch via the 2 Learn to Read Facebook peer-support group. This enables the “sponsor” family to observe in real-time the effect of their sponsoring, and in fact ensure personally the success of their charitable donation. This provides the double satisfaction of successfully teaching your own child to read, while at the same time empowering a family which cannot afford this simple award winning reading programme.

If your child is 8 years of age or older and still struggles with reading, writing, spelling, maths, co-ordination and/or attention/impulse control (ADHD), you will need MORE than this online course offers.

Fortunately, Ronald Dell Davis has also created equally effective programmes to address learning difficulties like dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, and AD/HD in a matter of days, and autism over several weeks.

There are now hundreds of licensed Davis® Dyslexia Facilitators worldwide, and since the COVID-19 pandemic, many of them have been approved to offer a personalised Davis Programme remotely using Zoom video-conferencing. In 1980, at age 38, Ronald Dell Davis overcame his own severe dyslexia when he found a way to quickly eliminate common perceptual distortions. For the first time in his life, he could read and enjoy a book without struggling; he went from functionally illiterate to reading his first ever book, cover to cover in one night. To his surprise and delight, he soon learned that the simple mental exercise he had discovered for himself seemed to work just as well for other dyslexic adults who tried it out. After independent clinical research and working with experts in many fields, Ron Davis perfected his program for correcting dyslexia in adults and children.

In 1982, Ron Davis and Dr. Fatima Ali, Ph.D., opened the Reading Research Council Dyslexia Correction Center in California, achieving a 97% success rate in helping dyslexics overcome their learning problems.

2 Learn to Read is based on the Davis Young Learners Kit for Home Use, which again is inspired by the Davis® Learning Strategies for schools, conceived in 1994 by Ron Davis, author of The Gift of Dyslexia and The Gift of Learning, and Sharon Pfeiffer. Their goal was to adapt the award-winning Davis Dyslexia Correction® methods to teach young children, ages 5-7, life long learning skills which would prevent the development of learning disabilities or reading problems. After piloting these methods for six years in six Californian schools, they achieved this goal and more.

They found that these methods enhanced the learning abilities of ALL types of young learners. Children who were struggling to learn letters and words improved dramatically. Children with strong language skills became even better readers, spellers and writers.
